Breakfast

Wake up to a large Flavours of Herefordshire Award winning breakfast comprising a buffet table laden with home grown fruit and berries when in season; baked apple, rhubarb or pear, home baked muffins; natural and fruit yoghurts; local bakery bread; organic muesli and porridge and a selection of dried fruit, nuts and seeds.

We provide a selection of fruit juices including our own squeezed apple juice when in season. There is also a large selection of lovely Trumpers loose leaf teas for you to try.

We cook to order specialising in our full English breakfast comprising 2 each of the award winning ‘sausage of the day’, and thick cut bacon from the local butcher, served with two of “my girls” eggs, mushrooms and my own tomatoes (when in season) or choose our Walford Court special – 2 potato scones, topped with 2 rashers of the local butchers bacon with two of the yellowest yolked eggs you ever did see balanced on the top!

The breakfast menu also offers a good vegetarian selection, with our vegetarian Full English, tattie scones served with melted cheese and home made chutney, and omelettes.

Platters

Platters are available every night, are for for 2 people and cost £30. We provide a 3 cheese selection, local butchers ham, and a wonderful chicken liver pate, also provided by the village butcher! For a vegetarian platter we substitute the pate and ham with smoked salmon and free range salad eggs. They are served with salad, local Tyrell’s crisps, home made chutneys & pickles, and Bread/crackers to preference.

Platters for Sunday evening must be ordered by breakfast on Saturday as we purchase ingredients especially for you and our butcher does like a Sunday off!

Light Suppers

A light supper may be pre-ordered to be served in the dining room or to your room from 5.30 to 6pm. Please note this is not available after 6pm.

The options are;

Craigs home made vegetable and lentil soup, comprises home grown vegetables, served with a roll or bread.

Walford Court omelette and salad.

AGA toasted sandwich.

The cost is £7.50 per person, we charge an extra £2.50 for a dessert of home grown fruit and ice-cream.
